HESIG Trip to Bayfront Park at the 2024 CIES Annual Conference

Tuesday, March 12 from 11:15am to 12:30pm Eastern

Come connect with the Higher Education SIG for a stroll through Bayfront Park! Let's take a moment to get some fresh air, (re)connect with one another, and enjoy our HE SIG community.

Bayfront Park is located on Biscayne Boulevard. The park is a half mile from the conference hotel (approx. 10 minute walk OR 5-minute taxi ride). Entrance to the park is free.

We will meet in the conference hotel (Hyatt Regency Miami) at the tall art sculpture in the hotel lobby.

We plan to walk over to Bayfront Park together from the hotel and explore the park for about about 45 minutes to an hour. Bayfront Park is 32 acres with open lawn spaces, a wide baywalk, winding walkways, a sandy beach area, a stunning fountain, a tropical rock garden, monuments, and a waterfall that dates back to 1926. Adjacent to the park is Bayside Marketplace, a waterfront outdoor mall.
